Free Trade History -
Millions have lost their
jobs and businesses.
Free trade economics is not new and not really trade. Our Federal Government
sponsored the moving of factories outside of the U.S. starting in 1956. It was a
temporary program but it never ended. They labled the moving of production to other countries free trade. This is not trade but a grand betrayal of workers and the American Dream.
1. It degrades and deflates the value of workers and labor. This represents trillions of dollars in value lost forever. The value of workers and labor is perhaps a better money standard than money that is created out of nothing by the Federal Reserve Bank.
2. On top of t his, the trade deficit which has broken records for years, represents the loss of trillions of dollars forever too.
3. President Obama had to bail out the process in 2008. However, he only baileout big money interests, banks, investments, stocks and the "too big to fail" corporations. He ignored the suffering of millions who lost their jobs and businesses due to free trade economics. This represents trillions of more dollars lost forever.
President Roosevelt said economic diseases are highly communicable. Free trade is an economic disease which is spreading across the globe. We have been online since 1998 about this telling the world that only local economies can work. There are bout five to seven levels of added value from the raw product level to the end user or retail level. The money spent at the retail level quickly fans out to where the products are made. With all or most of the levels being outside of our country, the money does not stay here to recycle the U.S.economy. It grows other economies in other countries instead. Since 1956, the Federal Government has sponsored the moving of factories outside of the country. It was supposed to be only a temporary program to test ways to have Americans enjoy cheaper products. It never ended. It backfired with millions losing their jobs and businesses as a result. Somewhere along the way, the globalist free traders start calling the process free trade and obvisously it is not real trade. Real trade trades products and not workers who are put on a global trading block to compete with one another for the same jobs.
The process was a failure from the start since world trade was about moving production from place to place anywhere in the world for the sake of cheaper labor and more profit.Investments were divorced from production with the value of workers and labor being manipulated and degraded for the sake of more profit. The real commodities traded are workers who are put on a global tradking block to compete with one another for the same jobs. Making production portable this way,
another for the same jobs. Investments are divorced from production. Governments act as brokers and dealers who opt of profits and investments at the expense of workers. A new working poor class replaced the production workers middle class. Free trade economics is about making money on money instead of making things. The stock market which once rewarded companies for creating employment now reward them for firing workers and calling it an increase in efficiency.
I worked in several factories while going to college and if these jobs were available today, there would be millions standing in lineto get them including college graduates. In other countries, the impoverished and underclass workers can not evern buy the things they make let alone have any money left over to buy anything countries like the United States had left to sell. And with more than a billion people in the world willing to work for practically nothing to survive so called free trade is a race to the bottom with an endless pool of impoverished workers as the bottom
line.
The race to the bottom hit. Our economies based on making money on money instead of making things burned out. President Obama had to bail out the process.
This lost was massive. And Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans exposed an unreported underclass living in a silent depression. The same scenario is repeated across America. When ever free trade economics storms touch down, it leaves burn out communities behind. In the far east, new production came and later left leaving behind conditions worst than ever. As President Roosevelt said economic diseases are highly communicable. Free trade is an economic diseases that has infected countries around the world with protests breaking out
everywhere.
On top of this , nations find they must protect their interests in far away places which has resulted in wars and revolutions. a new kind of deadly colonialismexsts. Free trade has brought us a culture of death too.
